GREETINGS AND WELCOME!

Igor Malanchuk believes in economic freedom and goodness in people’s hearts. He is an American success story. He owns a local retail and commercial lending businesses and has lived in Douglas County since 2000. Igor has no ties to lobbyist and has no connection with developers or special interest groups.

A passionate believer in God, he is very appreciative of the American Dream, United States Constitution, freedom, lower taxes, business development, limited government and volunteerism.

Igor wants Douglas County, Georgia to be one of the best and safest places to live in the metro-Atlanta area for all residents and visitors.

He believes it’s time to stop wasteful spending and reverse the deterioration of our quality of life that we are experiencing. It is time to support local businesses, improve quality of life and provide better economic opportunities for the residents of our county.

He came to the U.S. in 1991 from Russia, worked as a handy man, gardener, restaurant manager and account executive while getting education at State University of New York, New Paltz (Business Administration, 1997) and his Master at The School for International Training at Brattleboro, Vermont (Intercultural Management and Training, 2001). In addition, Igor studied martial arts, journalism, drama, engineering and financing.

In 1999, while working on his thesis’s for his Master program, he moved to Georgia and worked in The Georgia Council for International Visitors as a Director of Development and Training. He managed the U.S. Department of State training programs for foreign leaders and business executives.

With Igor’s facilitation and coordination, the foreign leaders learned about liberty, free market principles, democracy, volunteerism and most importantly, about people of the United States.

While expanding services and improving program outcomes, Igor reduced cost from $7,400 to $5,500 per visitor by using standardization, creativity and large network of trainers, business owners, speakers, community leaders and residents as volunteers.

He was able to enlist help of various federal, states, counties and cities officials in order to meet program challenges, leaders like Governor Sonny Perdue, Federal and State Judges, County CEO’s and countless other local officials and business leaders helped Igor in his work.

The very first training program he implemented was with the help of Douglas County citizens and officials. People of the county opened their hearts, minds and homes to the international leaders that came. The visitors went to local high schools, government offices and businesses to learn about how our system works. Douglas County and metro Atlanta media reported about interactions between such international visitors and residents and leaders of Douglas County.

Igor has been able to count on people of Douglas County and they should be very proud as they contributed  to show the foreign leaders about liberty, free market principles, democracy, volunteerism and most importantly, about our people in the United States and our county. For their cooperation and contribution the people of Douglas County have a special place in his heart.

Today, Igor Malanchuk wants to make a difference by being elected Douglas County’s new Chairman of the Board of Commissioners. With your help we can bring about creative and cost effective solutions to the issues we face and enhance the American Dream

Igor is different and he will make a difference because he knows the alternatives and he listens!
